Whether a customer is looking to update the look of a room, replace one room of carpet, or start from scratch and complete a whole interior remodel, anything is possible. Jo will bring the showroom to you with floor to ceiling samplings.

Jo is a proactive member in her community and is known for her enthusiasm, professionalism, and kindness. Jo was the President of Business/Network International of Commack which is a business networking group for professional men and women.

In addition, she served on the board for the Long Island Center for Business & Professional Women, an organization who’s mission is to promote the advancement of women in business, industry, and other professions.

With a passion for Interior Design since high school, Jo graduated from the New York Institute of Technology in Westbury with a degree in Interior and Architectural Design.

In 1986, Jo began her design business in Colorado where she answered an ad for a national decorating company. Within 8 months time she became a manager with the decorating company.

Jo moved back to Long Island with her family in 1988 and created a brand new market for the company. She acknowledged that Long Island needed a one stop shopping arena where not only the elite could access a decorator but everyone could have the same service without breaking the bank. This is when Jo launched her retail business and opened Floors Decors and More and Design Center.

Jo has been married to her husband Peter for 30 years, who is a restaurant owner. They have two wonderful daughters, Katerina is her oldest who runs the Grecian Corner Café, a popular contemporary Greek and American cuisine located in Greenlawn, New York. Crystalia is her youngest daughter who is a high school guidance counselor. Both daughters are successful because they were taught to always have high self esteem and a positive attitude.

Jo’s decorating business has consistently been successful. When Jo meets with a client, she begins focusing on choosing a style and color palette and then selects the appropriate furniture, floor and window coverings, artwork, lighting, and architectural detailing, such as crown molding and in planning layouts of buildings undergoing renovation. Jo is always up to date with the latest home fashion and works with many specific design styles and approaches including Contemporary, Traditional, Asian, Country, Classical, Art Deco, Gothic, Tropical, Rustic, or anything her customer is inspired by. Give us a call and have Jo come into your home or office for a free one hour decorating consultation.
